Jamaica's
Olympic and Paralympic champions were honoured in style with a musical tribute befitting of heroes at the National Arena on National Heroes Day on 15 October, 2012. Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller presented over 50 athletes with monetary rewards during a concert which featured Jamaican musical legends. Earlier, a new marble headstone was unveiled at the grave of Jamaican track and field legend Herb McKenley who died in 2007.
